Artist Blandine Pannequin, illustrator & graphic designer, designed the clog as a tribute to nature and craftsmanship. She worked on our Natura clog in vegetable-tanned leather.
The clog was hand-painted with special leather paints. A protective varnish was added to the wooden heels of the clog.
The Cosmos model, hand-painted with colourful flowers, is a unique and exclusive clog from Esprit Nordique.

OUR OPINION The wood keeps your feet warm with its insulating property from the cold soil. It also prtects your feet from the burning soil in hot countries. Wooden sole is perfect for the hygiene of the feet. To wear bare foot or with SOCKS : you will forget them on your feet. They are also super slippers. |

Our naturally tanned leather is prepared using natural vegetable oils and it is chromium free. Vegetable leathers are more rigid and require few uses to soften sustainably Vegetable leather is an exceptional leather used in only 5% of leathers for the footwear. Chrome tanning helps soften the leather. If discharges and leather washes are not controlled, there is risk of harm to the environment and people. That's why we use controlled leather of European origin. |
Care instructions of vegetal leather : wax and polish your shoes with colorless shoe polish or near the original leather color.
SOFT AND VELVETY NUBUCK LEATHER
Nubuck is a leather finishing, the surface was rubbed with very fine sandpaper. This is why it is of velvety appearance and soft feeling. Sanding the flower gives it an aspect that differs widely suede. As only the outer surface of the leather is affected by the treatment, it has better strength and retains its fine grain. It is quite expensive and is a material that has a certain nobility. Its name probably comes from the English, which means new deer. The nubuck is a luxury leather to be nutured carefully.
Nubuck leather care instructions : dust off fairly regularly nubuck, with a crepe brush and rub gently. You can also waterproof nubuck with a special waterproofing product to protect from fatty dirts.
